1.1 Procedures of Teaching

With a smile, I greeted my students and with a warm hello they responded positively. In every grade level I conducted different activities, but what marked me the most is my activity called Simon Says it is where I say something that starts with “Simon says” and they will do it. Like for example “Simon says, jump!” And they jump, I always love the fact that they have these bright smiles in their faces knowing that they are having fun in your lesson. After that, that’s the time where I conduct my lesson proper. Then, to check their learnings I conduct a short evaluation and they will answer me orally or thru writing.


1.2 Time management and organizing activities


40 minutes is the time allotted for the lesson proper so as a teacher I had to make sure that in this time limit my learners had fun and got the lesson already. However, time is also not on my side as on my first demonstration I was late to start my class so it was really stressful for me, but thank goodness I managed to end the discussion on time.


1.3 Classroom Management


In my capacity as a foreign teacher, devoid of proficiency in the Vietnamese language, teacher assistants have emerged as invaluable assets. They play a pivotal role in facilitating various aspects of the instructional process, notably aiding in learner orientation and acting as intermediaries for queries that may arise in instances where English comprehension may be limited. This commendable assistance extends to the realm of classroom management, where teacher assistants have significantly contributed to the seamless orchestration of educational activities. Their presence serves to ensure that potential linguistic barriers do not impede the educational progress and overall experience within the classroom environment. Hence, it is with deep appreciation that I acknowledge the pivotal role played by teacher assistants, whose support has been instrumental in the successful execution of classroom activities, fostering an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.


1.4 Problem-solving while teaching and staying in the designated School


The language barrier constitutes a noteworthy challenge that has arisen during this educational endeavor. A notable portion of the learners often responds with non-verbal cues when presented with questions or requests for input, whereas others make attempts to articulate their thoughts in Vietnamese, recognizing my limited proficiency in the language. However, I wish to express my profound gratitude to our esteemed supervisor at Future School, who has played a pivotal role in fostering an environment of inclusivity and amicability. Their welcoming disposition and efforts have effectively mitigated the sense of otherness that could have potentially arisen due to language disparities. This gesture serves as a testament to the commitment to cross-cultural collaboration and the promotion of a harmonious learning environment within the educational setting.


1.5 Others


Dear Teacher Assistants, I want to express, from the depths of my heart, just how incredibly grateful I am for each and every one of you. Your dedication, hard work, and unwavering support do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. You are the unsung heroes behind the scenes, and I am profoundly thankful for everything you do. I pray for each of you to have a long, fulfilling, and prosperous journey ahead. Your contributions are invaluable, and I look forward to continuing our shared mission of education with passion and purpose. Thank you for being the backbone of our educational community. Your commitment is a shining example, and I am honored to work alongside you. Here's to a future filled with growth, success, and continued collaboration.
