1.1 Curriculum

Our curriculum, the Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in English, is a powerful catalyst for transforming students' communication abilities. It emboldens them, instilling a profound confidence in expressing themselves both in spoken and written English. Moreover, it nurtures their literary talents, enabling them to explore the realms of poetry, short stories, and more. Our mission goes beyond the mere acquisition of language skills. We aspire to inspire and empower our students, encouraging them to embrace their unique identities without reservation. We instill in them a genuine love for the English language, igniting a fervent curiosity that will propel them forward. I extend my deepest appreciation to our invaluable mentors, Ms. Cao Nguyen and Ms. Ana, from Dong Thap University and Future School, for their unwavering support and guidance. Their limitless dedication has been instrumental in nurturing our students' growth, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. Together, we embark on a journey of empowerment, education, and the unceasing pursuit of linguistic excellence.

1.2 Teaching plan related to your major

I got to experienced a series of four class demonstrations over a span of two days, an experience that proved to be both engaging and instructive. The preparatory phase of crafting my lesson plans proceeded seamlessly, thanks to the invaluable guidance provided by Ms. Ana. With her support, we ensured the development of cognitive objectives that were not only pertinent but also highly beneficial for the learners. During the actual class demonstrations, I adeptly navigated the educational terrain, effectively engaging the students through well-structured activities such as "Hussle Puzzle" and "Simon Says." It was gratifying to observe the enthusiastic participation and receptivity of students across three distinct grade levels: Grade 8, Grade 9, and Grade 6. The overall experience was a testament to the effectiveness of thoughtful instructional design and pedagogical techniques. These class demonstrations represented a valuable opportunity to assess and refine my teaching strategies, ultimately contributing to my professional growth as an educator.
